Local Food Shopping
Most shops are located on the 192, and there are 'mile
markers' on this road so you can see how far a shop, or
attraction is, and which way you need to go to get there.
The Bellavida
Resort is located behind medieval Times, near mile marker
14.
The three largest supermarkets are Wal-Mart (the largest in
America), Target and Publix.
|
 |
Located on the 192 between mile markers 14 and 15. The closest
supermarket to the villa, less than a minutes
drive, simply turn right out of Bellavida, then
right again into Wal-Mart car park (you do not need
to go as far as the 192, and there is a walking
path for those that feel like a walk). |
|
 |
There are two Targets nearby. There is one just after marker
15 on the left of the 192, and a 'Super' Target
between markers 11 - 12 of the 192.
The fastest way to the first is to turn right out of
the resort, then right again onto the 192.
The fastest way to the Super Target is to turn left
out of Bellavida, then right onto Poinciana. When
you reach the 192 (2 miles), turn right onto the
192, Target is then on your left. |
|
 |
Publix is located on Vinelands Road, just off the 192 between
markers 11 and 12. Follow the directions for Super
Target above to reach it, and grab a drink or some
ribs at Smokey Bones, an excellent restaurant
located in the same car park area! |
|
 |
'The Pharmacy America Trusts'.
Located on the 192 between mile markers 11 and
12, near Publix, and also available on the 192 west
from the Resort. |

then simply turn left onto the 535 at the T
junction. Follow the signs for World Drive and
Disney. Again, you can be in Disney in less than
10 minutes, but this time on the Epcot side of
Disney World. |

Busch Gardens is
the further attraction, around 1 hour from villas
close to Disney.
Simply follow the 192 down to the I4, then jump on
the I4, but head for Tampa instead of Orlando. |
There are also dozens of other attractions, most very close
to the villa.
Some of the more popular ones are listed below.

Medieval Times is a themed restaurant attraction. It is
located between mile markers 14 and 15 and within
walking distance of the villa (which is how we got
there in April so we could all enjoy a drink!) |

Another themed restaurant attraction. Located at mile maker 8. |

One of the top 'alternate things to do in Orlando' in a recent
BBC program. Between markers 8 and 9, classic
american cars parade most weeks, a great (and free)
place to visit at night.
Turn left out of Bellavida, right onto
Poinciana, then left onto the 192, Old Town is
easily seen at night as it has a large and high sky
coaster which is brightly illuminated. |
|
 |
Local airboats (including self hire!) are located on the 192 at
mile marker 15 just after the mini golf, or drive
down Oren Brown road, turn left onto Poinciana and
continue down to Boggy Creek Airboats. |
|

Follow the 192 past mile marker 15 and the Target
supermarket, and then turn left onto Orange Blossom
Trail. Follow until Hunters Creek, Gatorland can be
found on your right. |

There are some real bargains to be found, with all
the major brands having outlet stores.
From the villa, turn left out of the Bellavida
Resort, then right onto Poinciana Blvd. Cross the
192, and continue until you meet the 535, which you
will turn left onto. Continue on the 535 until
just before you reach the I4 then take the right
turning BEFORE the I4, this takes you right past the
front of the outlet mall. |
